The influence of environmental regulation on green total factor productivity——based on the Yangtze River panel data empirical research

At present, the environmental problem is increasingly serious, how to achieve the sustainable development has become very important recently. This paper used the data of 106 prefecture-level cities of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to study the effect of environmental regulation on green total factor productivity. The results show that environmental regulation can significantly improve the GTFP. There is significant heterogeneity. Also found that the level of economic development has a threshold effect.
