The relevance of the problem stated in the article is due to the great importance of patent analytics, used as a tool to ensure the technological sovereignty of the country, its entrance to the advanced level of efficiency and competitiveness. The study is aimed at eliminating the current multiple gap between the Russian economy and the leading countries in terms of the scale and quality of patent activity. The article proposes a structural and functional model for conducting patent analytics, whose algorithm, unlike existing ones, includes the stages of identifying technological trends, defining leaders in patent activity, and substantiating key scientific and technical developments. The model was tested on the example of patent analytics for technological innovations in agriculture of the Russian Federation. The results of the study showed that in order to ensure the competitiveness of Russian agricultural products in world markets and reduce technological risks, it is necessary to expand and strengthen cooperation between the scientific, educational sphere and the real sector to create a technological foundation and advance the implementation of patent-protected innovations in agricultural sectors.
