The paper presents a study of flow structure in an annular flow of the Couette-Taylor system, employing spectral analysis of moment of resistance and radial dynamic pressure pulsations. Experiments were conducted on a model featuring a single annular gap, with the Reynolds number varied from 582 to 4271. A methodology for the digital recording of flow parameters was devised, comprising the measurement of the moment of resistance to rotation and radial pressure through the application of a strain gauge dynamometer, hydrophone and pressure transducer. The subsequent analysis of the obtained amplitude-frequency spectra enabled the identification of three distinctive ranges of pulsations, which were found to be associated with the relief of the cylinder surface, laminar flow with Taylor vortices and the turbulent regime.
