The effect of angle inclination and the material of the surface on the amount of dust collected have been investigated. This parameter was found to vary with the angle of inclination for the same material and with the material for the same angle. This variation bears no correspondence to the roughness of the surface as inferred from the respective values of the coefficient of friction. This selectivity could lend itself to selective deposition and the separation of particles of different sizes. The composition of dust particles and fibers accumulated on glass sheets, 20x20 cm2, placed horizontally and tilted at different angles (50°, 70°, 80°, 90°, and 120°) was examined. The amount of slipping off the dust from the surface of glass sheets with different tilt angles have been measured.
