Now a day is a developing country as the cities are growing rapidly and generation of wastes is also rapid. The wastewater is generally had high suspended solid, high Chemical oxygen demand (COD), High Biological oxygen demand (BOD), nitrogen and phosphorus. Such wastewaters, if discharged without proper treatment, severely pollute receiving water bodies and disrupts complete ecosystem.[2] Flow problems include stagnation, flies, and foam formation. ASP operational problems include sludge buildup and sludge buildup. Aerated lagoon problems include odors from algal blooms, groundwater contamination, additional treatment, and the need for large areas. [1]. By studying various literature review SBR is effluent in removal of BOD and COD. The efficiency of SBR can be increased by using Moving Bed Bio- film Reactor (MBBR).
Key words: Chemical oxygen demand (COD) / Biological oxygen demand (BOD)
