The significant role of local wisdom in preserving both humanity and the environment is increasingly threatened by modernization and globalization. This phenomenon contributes to the deterioration of human and environ-mental well-being. One of them of local wisdom is found in Tri Hita Karana concept, which contains noble values essential for achieving sustainability. This issue holds significance for examination due to the existing body of investigations emphasizing the need to integrate concept for enhanced sustainability. This research aimed to comprehensively investigate and analyze the local wisdom inherent in Tri Hita Karana, its application in various scientific fields, and its application to the green construction field, which substantially impacted sustainable development. A thorough literature review methodology was employed for seventy-six (76) papers published between 2011 and 2022, which were meticulously selected from Scopus based on the keywords "Tri Hita Karana" and "sustainability" for in-depth review. The study identified the latest developments in the sustainability field and drew on perspectives from prior studies. Based on the results of the re-search, the concept of Tri Hita Karana was mostly applied to the fields of education and economy, there had been no previous research specifically discussing the application of the Tri Hita Karana concept in green construction in buildings, related constructions were only limited to the fields of road construction, architecture and landscape, so this had the potential for future research. Insights from this research underscored the effectiveness of the concept as a valuable indicator for enhancing sustainability across eco-nomic, social, and environmental dimensions.
