Forestry assessment of the effectiveness of various cuttings, which were used in the forests we studied, was carried out. It was found that in a number of clear-cuttings 15-20 years after harvesting there are at least 1.5-2.5 thousand spruce-dominated self-seedlings and undergrowth. After felling there are many spruce and pine undergrowth, which are categorized as unreliable. In spruce forests clear-cutting areas often carried out (clear-cutting), in pine forests mainly forest maintenance thinning. In pre-harvest spruce the height growth reaches 25 cm already in the 2-5th year after harvesting, while in post-harvest spruce the growth averages 3-6 cm per year. With increasing age of felling, the number of settled specimens decreases, and after 10-12 years it is not observed at all. The duration of this process indicates the need for serious attention to the preservation of the maximum number of pre-generation undergrowth during harvesting. Is one of effective recommendations it will reduce the afforestation period of the clear-cutting areas. In addition, it is necessary to carry out additional measures to increase the success of reforestation on clear-cuttings by means of soil mineralization.
