The oxidation reaction’s kinetics of synthetic MoS2 and molybdenum industrial intermediate products (containing 38% MoS2) in solutions of concentrated nitric acid were investigated earlier. So, it is of interest to obtain similar data on their behaviour in other oxidizing environments, particularly, in solutions of sodium hypochlorite. Comparative study of the oxidation kinetics of synthetic MoS2 (100%) and industrial molybdenum products in sodium hypochlorite solutions. The kinetics of their oxidation reaction study was revealed by means of “rotating disk method” basing on application of pressed tablets of minerals in a Teflon frame placed into oxidative media. Samples of solutions were periodically taken from the reaction-active environment in the experiments for analysis of Mo(VI) concentrations.
