Abstract
Digital health is revolutionizing the healthcare approach in numerous ways. The systematic review provides a concise overview of the academic literature on digital health from 2010 to 2025, encompassing 567 documents from 239 sources. This review provides information about the trends in publication on countries, and subject clusters that comprise this developing body of knowledge. The data illustrates a clear alteration in the approach of research in digital health, with an overall average growth rate of 29.26% and the average age of the documents being 3.02 years, indicating that the research area of digital health is still in its emergent stage. There are emerging topics in the studies that assess clinical innovation, digital policy, data governance, personalized care, and integrative digital therapies music therapy and pain management. Despite the emergence of networked collaborations, our research still indicates fragmentation and suggests an even stronger need for interdisciplinary collaborations.
