Abstract
Research has demonstrated the highly stimulating effect of biological pesticide on cucumber plant growth at all stages of development. Under greenhouse conditions, the use of Gliocladin, which contains Trichoderma harzianum, has a positive effect on cucumber growth and development. This is due to its ability to suppress the development of root rot caused by Fusarium and Pythium fungi. Suppressing pathogenic microflora leads to the formation of a more developed and healthy root system, which, in turn, ensures more efficient nutrient absorption. Cucumber plants become stronger and more viable, and their yield increases significantly. The action of Gliocladin is based on the competition of beneficial fungi with pathogenic microorganisms, as well as on the release of substances with antibiotic activity. Furthermore, the product improves soil structure and increases the availability of important elements such as phosphorus and nitrogen to plants. Its use promotes the development of a developed root system, suppressing plant pathogens and improving soil structure. This has a positive effect on plant growth, on the development of the above-ground part and the formation of fruits, increasing the overall yield and the environmental friendliness of the agricultural process.
