Research on the preparation and printability of 3D printed recycled bamboo fiber concrete

Abstract
This study develops an eco-friendly 3D-printable cement-based composite using recycled fine aggregate from construction waste and bamboo fiber (BF) from agricultural waste, supporting the integration of green building materials and intelligent construction. The effects of BF content on fluidity, extrudability, buildability and early mechanical properties are systematically investigated. The optimal mix is obtained at a water-cement ratio of 0.54, recycled fine aggregate replacement rate of 36.4%, and 2.0% volume fraction of 5-mm BF. The mixture shows excellent printability, stable stacking, good interlayer bonding and enhanced early strength. The synergistic mechanism is revealed, offering theoretical and technical support for solid waste recycling and low-carbon intelligent construction.
