DOAJ Seal awarded to E3S Web of Conferences demonstrating “best practice in open access publishing”

We are pleased to announce that E3S Web of Conferences, among 22 other EDP Sciences’ journals, has recently been awarded the DOAJ Seal which “is awarded to journals that demonstrate best practice in open access publishing”. Only around 10% of journals indexed in the DOAJ are awarded the DOAJ Seal, so it is a gratifying mark of recognition of the excellent work E3S Web of Conferences is doing.
Web of Conferences and TIB - German National Library of Science and Technology agree to extend consortium discount for conference proceedings

It is with great pleasure that we announce an extension to the agreement between Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) German National Library of Science and Technology and Web of Conferences, the open access platform from EDP Sciences. The agreement offers a consortium discount of 15 percent for the publication of conference proceedings and has been extended for a further two years until the end of 2022.

We are proud to highlight that Web of Conferences, the open access platform devoted to the publication of scientific conference proceedings, has received outstanding feedback from conference organisers regarding publication times in 2020. Indeed, for many, this is now one of the main reasons for choosing Web of Conferences.
We strive to publish proceedings quickly to enable the dissemination and discovery of research amongst the academic community. On average, we publish proceedings online within just 2 weeks for standard conferences and 3 to 4 weeks for larger conferences (involving around 200 papers). These are excellent turnaround times and a testament to our efficient processes, dedicated and responsive team, and understanding of our partners’ needs.
Web of Conferences broadens its comprehensive conference proceedings package to include video presentations

Web of Conferences is pleased to offer conference organisers online video publication as part of its conference proceedings publication service. Complementary transcription and translation options are also available on request, as well as video editing and segmentation to enrich metadata. This is a new departure for Web of Conferences in association with Cadmore Media, the expert in video streaming for scholarly publishing. Cadmore Media extends a wealth of experience providing video content with DOIs, descriptive metadata, and full search-text.
Professor Jun Sun joins the Web of Conferences editorial board bringing expertise in marine and environmental sciences

Professor Sun presently holds the prestigious title of ‘Chueng Kong Chair Professor’ at Tianjin University of Science and Technology and is an expert in marine and environmental sciences. Web of Conferences introduces smooth and affordable editing support for conference proceedings manuscripts

Web of Conferences is pleased to offer a standard English ‘polishing’ service in order to give conference organisers and research proceedings authors the opportunity to have their manuscripts edited before publication. The service is fast and affordable with a typical turnaround time of 7 days for a conference of about 300 pages. It integrates smoothly into the publication workflow and provides organisers and authors with a convenient and language editing option.
Successful partnership with TIB - German National Library of Science and Technology continues in support of authors

EDP Sciences signs agreement with TIB – German National Library of Science and Technology to publish Open Access conference proceedings

On 12 October 2017, EDP Sciences signed a partnership agreement with the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) – German National Library of Science and Technology to support the publication of conference proceedings in a number of STM fields.
The agreement will enable the TIB to publish all German conference proceedings in the areas of Physics, Engineering & Technology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Sciences in the Web of Conferences journal series at a special discounted rate.
E3S Web of Conferences now indexed in CAS (May 2015)

E3S Web of Conferences is now indexed in Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a not-for-profit division of The American Chemical Society. Chemical Abstracts Service provides a valuable indexing service to researchers worldwide. It reviews and intellectually indexes more than 10,000 major scientific journals and patents from 63 patent authorities, providing pointers to the new and novel science disclosed in them.
EDP Sciences signed an agreement to preserve Journals with Portico (April 2015)

EDP Sciences is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Portico to provide a permanent archive of the e-content for many of their key journals. Through this agreement, institutions participating in Portico’s E-Journal Preservation Service will be assured continued access to EDP Sciences content for generations of their scholars in the future.
Current data will be sent to Portico as soon as the e-journal is published, and a full list of the journals committed to the Portico archive is available at http://www.portico.org/digital-preservation/who-participates-in-portico/participating-publishers/edp.
