The article is focused on the economic efficiency of using the functional sulfur-containing feed additive Bioactive Keratin (FSCD Bioactive Keratin) for the productive qualities of silver foxes. It is established that the use of FSCD Bioactive Keratin in the amount of 0.2% of the daily norm of digestible protein led to a reliable increase in the following indicators for pelts from the experimental group: pelt area by 10%; hair density of silver fox pelts in average by 28.3% compared to the control group, as well as a decrease in the frequency of occurrence by 80% of such defects as hair breakage and piling, and as a consequence, to an increase in the percentage of scoring on quality by 22.1%. The use of FSCD Bioactive Keratin increases the cost of production of pelts in average by 0.58% with an increase in the area of pelts by 10%, an increase in profit of 500 rubles per one pelt, therefore, an increase in profitability by 21.5% compared to the control group.
