Analysis of vortex structures in problems of computational fluid dynamics

The article discusses methods for identifying vortex structures when analyzing the results of numerical simulations in hydro- and gasdynamics, thermophysics, and in applications. The structures were identified in an authorized visualization system using additional processing of scalar, vector and tensor fields. The technique is illustrated with examples of visualization of simulation results in computational fluid dynamics and astrophysics. Data processing was carried out using topological description methods.
