Palynological research conducted in the Republic of Uzbekistan focuses on the provinces of Samarkand and Surkhandarya

Atmospheric pollen was studied using the Lanzoni VPSS 2010 device over three years from 2022 to 2024 in Samarkand, one of the most significant regions in Uzbekistan. Since 2024, research has also been underway in the Surkhandarya region, located in southern Uzbekistan. The investigation, utilizing the Lanzoni dust trap, identified 84 types of plant pollen belonging to the Angiosperma and Gymnosperma divisions present in the atmosphere. Analysis revealed that 52 of these belong to the Angiospermae group and 32 to the Gymnospermae. Among these, there were 22 trees, and 18 shrubs, and the remainder consisted of annual and perennial herbs. Trees accounted for 55% of the total plant pollen, while pollen from other plant types comprised 45%. The most commonly found tree pollens in the atmospheres of Samarkand and Termez were from the Cupressaceae family (15%), along with Pinaceae/Fagaceae and Betulaceae (10%). The most prevalent herbaceous pollen included species such as Rumex, Amaranthaceae, Plantago, and Ambrosia. The highest concentration of pollen in both regions was observed in May.
