The paper discusses the relevance of the research. To set the goal and objectives of the research, the developed schematic solution of the knife actuator of Geokhod with a semiconvex shape of the cutting edge of the knife is presented. There is no mathematical model of the interaction to determine the force parameters of the interaction of the knife actuator of Geokhod with the semiconvex shape of the cutting edge of the knife with the mine face rock. As a result, a mathematical model has been developed for the interaction of the knife actuator of Geokhod with the semiconvex shape of the cutting edge of the knife with the mine face rock. The obtained systems of analytical expressions make it possible to determine the projections of the components of the cutting forces on the axis of Geokhod and the plane perpendicular to the axis of Geokhod rotation, as well as the moment of the forces of resistance to cutting by the knife actuator of Geokhod with a semiconvex shape of the cutting edge of the knife.
