In order to promote the development and utilization of renewable energy and improve the energy structure, China has issued a series of energy industry policies. Although China’s renewable energy development has achieved remarkable results, the current level of renewable energy development is still far from achieving the “dual carbon” goals. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the existing energy policy system and further promote the development of renewable energy in China. Based on the evolution path of China’s renewable energy policy, this paper grasps the impact mechanism of renewable energy policy on the “dual carbon” goals, and analyzes and compares the policy differences between China and other countries. In view of the shortcomings of China’s current system policies, this paper puts forward suggestions for improvement, in order to help achieve the “dual carbon” goals.
