The article provides a calculation on the influence of the formation of a karst hole, or sinkhole, beneath the monolithic foundation slab of the building. It follows from the calculation, that monolithic reinforced concrete structures are capable of bearing the load action and ensuring the safe operation of the structure in conditions of the eventual formation of a designed karst funnel. Calculation of the foundation of the building under consideration for an emergency event of a soil caving with a diameter of 3 m and a depth of 10 m, demonstrated, that displacements, greater in value than the original ones, do not occur as a result of the redistribution of forces during normal operation of the building structure.
