The sustainable development of agriculture is closely related to the quantity and quality of the resource potential and the conditions for reproduction. The paper analyzes the totality, quantitative set and qualitative parameters of labor, land and material and technical resources in the Kyrgyz Republic. The proportions of the reproduction of the resource potential in rural areas depend on the financial condition of an economic entity, the strategy and tactics of its development, the market conditions, and the stage of the economic cycle. There are some problems in realizing the resource potential of the sustainable development of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the lack of a developed innovation market infrastructure for agricultural producers. The uneven development of various components of the resource potential in agriculture is an inevitable factor that determines the specifics of its reproduction. Therefore, the efficiency of the resource potential should be enhanced through the formation of sufficient governmental support aimed at the innovative development of manufacturing, making of environmentally friendly agricultural products and introduction of advanced technologies that will ensure the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises in the context of the need for sustainable development.
