Kinetics of changes of tribotechnical properties of polymeric materials in period of running-in

The article presents the study results of the influence of the type of polymers and friction modes on the duration of the running-in of polymeric materials during friction with various materials. The kinetics of changes in the temperature in the friction zone (Tfr), friction coefficient (f), the height of micro asperities (Rz), and the radius of the tops of asperities (r) during the running-in period have been studied.
