Substantiation of the effective introduction of knowledge economy elements and intelligent habitats in context of sustainable development

The key vector of Russia’s development at the present stage is the creation of not just a national innovation support system, but the dominant development of the knowledge economy and intelligent environments as an actor in the sustainable development of the country’s economy. This article is devoted to substantiating the effectiveness of the introduction of elements of the knowledge economy and intelligent environments. The consistency and completeness of the research presented in the article makes this work not only relevant, but also in demand in the long term, both by a wide range of specialists in the field of innovation and investment, and by all participants in building a new, highly efficient and powerful, Russian economy.The article presents an algorithm for selecting and substantiating the methodology for calculating the economic efficiency of introducing elements of the knowledge economy and intelligent environments in the context of sustainable development. The calculation of indicators of the economic efficiency of the project, which acts as an element of the innovation system, has been carried out. A comparison of the existing and implemented technological processes (basic and design options - the method of comparative analysis) was carried out. The indirect effect from the implementation of the information system by the method of investment analysis is calculated. The rationale for the effectiveness of the key design solutions selected in the analytical part is given and conclusions are drawn about the economic efficiency based on the calculated economic indicators.
