Digital transformation of banks as a way to sustainable development of the economy

The article analyzes the features and modern trends of the transformation of commercial banks, the main challenges and also provides a comparative assessment of the transformation of domestic banks with the banks of developed countries in the period of economic instability, examines standards for reforming the banking sector, as well as international experience in digital transformation of the sector. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the transformation of the banking sector is strongly influenced by governmental regulators, the level of digitalization of the economy, corporate culture in banks and the presence of a clear strategy for the gradual development of banking activities.
