The article highlights the issues of the informative value of heart rate variability indicators in the comprehensive assessment of the diagnosis of adaptive reserves of the body of students during training using the method of mathematical analysis of heart rate. The adaptive capabilities of the cardiovascular system, the level of influence of the autonomic nervous system on the heart rhythm and the ability of the myocardium to respond to various factors are determined. A comparative characteristic of the components of the adaptation process of students is given.
