Identification of Covid-19 Impact on UMKM Tourism Business Actors in Pangandaran Coastal Area

Pangandaran Regency is one of the tourist destinations in West Java Province, Indonesia, affected badly by the COVID-19 outbreak. From the first social distancing declared by the Indonesian government in March 2020 until April 2022, the tourism business in Pangandaran has gone through many changes in its business style. This study seeks to identify the impact of COVID19 in Pangandaran on their UMKM business actor in tourism activity. The method of this research is a descriptive method using risk management theory. The data was collected around time JulyAugust 2022. This study includes 160 participants of UMKM business actors around West and East Pangandaran Beach. Based on the analysis, the pandemic has different impacts on different types of UMKM tourism business actors in Pangandaran. 55% of businesses were forced to temporarily close due to a lack of customers, which had an impact on the difficulty of meeting daily needs due to a lack of skills and the pandemic that struck so suddenly. The severity of the impact felt by these business actors led to a variety of decisions from traders., the different impact on each type of tourism business led to different treatment policies that the government has to serve
