Digitalization as a factor of economic development of rail transport

The article examines the economic development of railway transport on the example of JSC “Russian Railways” as part of the implementation of “Russia’s Railway Transport Development Strategy 2030”. There are formulated the main objectives of this strategy and the main directions of its implementation with the “Digital Railway” project. The connection of the digital railway with the digital economy is revealed through the analysis of the company’s performance over the last three years of the “Digital Railway” project implementation. The vector for further development of railway transport digitalization is designated.
