The capabilities of the Russian gas industry in meeting the country’s internal needs with primary fuel and energy resources are predicted. These opportunities take into account the potential of the oil and coal industries, as well as all other sources (hydroelectric power plants, nuclear power plants, solar energy, wind energy, firewood, etc.) in the period until 2035, taking into account the effects of existing negative factors. After fulfilling the condition of fully meeting the country’s internal gas needs, the prospects for Russian gas exports are assessed. These prospects are assessed both taking into account the implementation of foreign policy and foreign economic factors (sanctions restrictions and their consequences), and taking into account the possible volumes of Russian natural gas production.
