Wear resistance analysis of HSS drill bits P6M5 and special round carbide drill bits VK8 for drilling alloyed steels and alloys

This paper analyses tool life and accuracy of made holes. As a result of experiments, the revealed variation coefficients reach high values - k=0.61, which indicates significant instability of the machining process of holes. In order to verify this assumption, a series of test measurements of the geometry of the gauge plugs used in the workshop were taken.
