Interest in the use of VR technologies for industrial and educational purposes is growing. This makes it relevant to study security issues when using virtual reality devices. The authors measured the frequency characteristics of the image on a VR device depending on the source (an image obtained directly from the cameras of the VR device and an image modeled directly by the device itself), the set brightness level and the refresh rate mode of the device. Instrumental studies have confirmed the existence of technical grounds for the negative impact of VR headsets on human visual analyzers. The optimal technical parameters of VR devices have been determined. It becomes expedient to carry out work on the development of a regulatory framework, that will regulate the technical parameters and permissible modes of use of VR devices.
