This article provides a comprehensive assessment of the competitiveness of oil refining enterprises in the Samara region compared to other leading Russian companies in the industry. Various methods, approaches, and techniques were employed to evaluate the current state of development and level of competitiveness, allowing for well-founded conclusions regarding the directions for enhancing the competitiveness of Samara's oil refining enterprises in today's geopolitical and sanction-driven environment. The research demonstrated a relatively high level of financial indicators, reflecting the degree of business activity, liquidity, and solvency of the companies. The main challenges for further development are associated with the need for production modernization, digitization of business processes, and active innovative development, which require substantial investment.
