This study proposes a mathematical description and experimental investigation of the effects of longitudinal mixing on the drying process of mineral fertilizers in a drum dryer. With the demand for drum dryers growing day by day, the need for efficient drying of granular materials, particularly mineral fertilizers, is of increasing importance. The focus of this research is on enhancing the drying process to effectively reduce moisture within the structural composition of granular fertilizers. Nozzle design and placement within the drum dryer play a critical role in intensifying the drying process by optimizing heat distribution and mixing. In this study, various nozzle configurations were analyzed, and specific recommendations were made to optimize nozzle types for improved performance in drum dryers, ultimately contributing to more effective moisture reduction and drying efficiency.
