Ethnobotany of Javanese Medicinal Plants in Batumarta VI, South Sumatra

The people of South Sumatra still maintain the customs and customs of each tribe, both immigrant and native tribes. One of the immigrant tribes that still preserves its culture is the Javanese tribe. This research aims to find out what plants, processing methods, UV (Use Value) and FL (Fidelity Level) values of plants are used as traditional medicine for Javanese people in Batumarta VI Village, South Sumatra. Data collection in this research was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The research results showed that there were 52 species of plants used as traditional medicine from 24 plant families. The plants most widely used in medicine are the Zingiberaceae family. Plant parts used include stems, leaves, roots, fruit, flowers, seeds and rhizomes. The processing method is by boiling, brewing, kneading, grating, dripping, cooking, squeezing, pounding, soaking and rubbing. The highest UV (Use Value) and FL (Fidelity Level) values are for turmeric plants with values respectively 0.13 and 68%
