The research focuses on the significance of sand quarry operations in Karbala Governorate, highlighting their economic benefits, particularly in reducing unemployment amid a severe economic crisis. Despite their importance, the industry suffers from government neglect, including high contracting fees and lack of energy support, which inflates production costs. The study utilized a descriptive and analytical approach, including field research on local quarries, emphasizing the need for better infrastructure and support for this vital sector.
