Community as Stakeholders of Disaster Mitigation at Objects with Tourist Attractions in Sleman Regency in realizing Sustainable Tourism

Disasters are one of the factors that are very vulnerable to affecting the tourism industry, so good disaster risk management is needed, including managing disaster crisis communication. Disaster communication is an important element in reducing disaster risk. In dealing with disasters, collaborative communication efforts between various stakeholders have become an effective approach. Therefore, this research finds out how stakeholders have an important role in disaster mitigation, especially in tourist attraction areas to realize sustainable tourism. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with BPBD Sleman Regency, Tourism Office. disaster care community, and tourism activists in Sleman Regency. Data analysis techniques are carried out simultaneously from data collection, data reduction, analysis and drawing conclusions. Data triangulation techniques were carried out to obtain accurate data. The results of this research show that in disaster mitigation at objects with tourist attractions in Sleman Regency, BPBD Sleman Regency is the command that provides direction, both policy and information that needs to be conveyed to the community. However, BPBD does not stand alone in managing and providing disaster warnings, the existence of disaster care communities, tourist activists in the Merapi area, the Jeep community provide a big role in reducing disaster mitigation for tourists in the area. disaster risk areas to support sustainable tourism.
