To determine the performance of terrafloc polymer, we must first know the characteristics of the polymer because all of these will affect the increase in oil recovery. Many factors affect the performance of the polymer. Here, using a micromodel to see the movement of oil in 2D, the sweep efficiency of the polymer injection can be seen clearly. The micromodel flooding method was carried out in a series of studies, starting with micromodel preparation, followed by waterflooding and polymer injection at a certain injection flow rate. The data was then analyzed using digital image analysis (DIA) to determine how much oil recovery increased after the injection of terrafloc polymer.
