In the conditions of the Zarafshan valley, the growth, development and productivity of potato cultivars were studied at different weights and planting depths for seed and commodity crop production. Correct determination of the planting depth of in-vitro-grown minitubers of different weights serves to increase the reproduction coefficient of rapidly multiplying minitubers. The red scarlet variety has 5-6 cm minitubers, 5-10 gram minitubers 6-7 cm, 10 grams and more minitubers 7-8 cm, and the Arnova variety has minitubers weighing up to 5 grams. Planting 6 cm, 5-10 grams and larger ones at a depth of 7-8 cm is 25-30 pieces per square meter, 456.5-485.5 thousand pieces per hectare and 6.7-6.8 hectares next year providing the field with seed.
