The Dilemmas and Countermeasures of China’s Energy Development under the Background of Sustainable Development

Energy is a vital resource for human survival as well as the material basis of all production and life. Environmental pollution and excessive resource consumption have become major issues in China due to the rapid consumption of energy driven by the deepening of reform and opening up and the acceleration of economic development. Problems and response strategies in the development and use of renewable energy have been analyzed from the perspective of sustainable environmental development in response to the existing situation of energy scarcity and environmental pollution in China. This analysis stresses the necessity of using renewable energy and its influence on environmentally sustainable development. It also provides prospects to achieve sustainable development in terms of energy utilization, the environment, and energy.
