In order to improve the ability of carbon emission management in expressway construction, the precision management of carbon emission is realized. In this paper, the construction period carbon emission monitoring method is proposed, the carbon emission monitoring scope is defined, and the carbon emission monitoring content and method are determined. On this basis, taking the Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge project as an example, analyze the monitoring data of construction carbon emissions. The results of the study showed that from July to December, the total carbon emission from construction was 668.30t. Among them, the carbon emissions of electricity, machinery and equipment, labor and construction water accounted for 47.02%, 40.68%, 11.99% and 0.31% of the total carbon emissions, respectively. In addition, the unit time carbon emission of the excavator is 12.12kg/h; The unit time carbon emission of the truck crane is 1.35kg/h.
