The Evolution Towards Hydrogen-Rich and Carbon-Free Fuels in Industry

The article examines the gradual transition of industry to the use of fuels containing more hydrogen and containing no carbon. In particular, the concept of a hydrogen economy is discussed, where hydrogen is produced from water using solar or hydropower. The author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of this concept, as well as possible technical and economic obstacles to its implementation. The article also examines current trends in energy use and the role that hydrogen can play in the future energy system.
