Sustainable urban development: Enhancing living standards through eco-efficient infrastructure and planning

The "challenges" described in the article represent the most important tasks for modern urban development, so, several areas are identified for finding effective solutions in line with modern strategies for complex development of territories that directly affect the standard and quality of life of the urban population. This work focuses on architectural, urban planning and composition tools of ensuring security, communication with the natural environment, development of the territory and other areas that require adequate solutions. Some practical examples show that in some cases the most effective solution is an architectural and urban planning response that goes into the plane of searching for a unique planning strategy. The article considers general aspects of architectural, urban planning and planning solutions that take into account comfort ratings are similar: security, involvement in global processes in the economy and culture, climate and ecology, quality of the urban environment and infrastructure, education and medicine. This work highlights several complex tasks of modern urban planning that directly affect the standard of living and comfort of the urban population, such as: the formation of a long-term sustainable planning structure and programming of urban development through a diverse typology of urban development, ensuring urban mobility, preserving and developing natural elements, public and educational spaces in the urban environment, urban digital technologies.
