Scientific treatment of domestic waste is a global challenge, and landfill method is mainly used in northwest China. However, landfill method is prone to produce garbage leachate, which threatens the ecology and safety of residents. At present, there are many methods to prevent leachate from entering the soil, but the cost is high and the seepage control effect needs to be improved. This paper is based on previous research, with bentonite modified loess as the research object, through the test research of bentonite modified loess seepage control performance, the research found that: bentonite mixing ratio of 15%, compaction degree of 98%, maintenance age of 30 days of bentonite modified loess to meet the landfill seepage control requirements. The research results for the application of improved loess in the landfill provides a cost-effective engineering measures.
