This paper summarizes the main detection technologies for highway pavement cracks and the judgment methods for crack width, and introduces the existing evaluation standards and metrological verification systems. For the acquisition of pavement crack width, linear array equipment is mainly used, and the judgment of its acquisition ability is based on pavement images, mainly adopting the manual interpretation method. Automatic identification and judgment still need further research and demonstration. This paper looks forward to the development trend of the judgment method for highway pavement crack width acquisition ability in the future, aiming to improve the automation degree of pavement crack width judgment, optimize equipment performance, and ensure that the collected data can better provide references for highway maintenance and management.
