At present, China’s hydrogen energy industry is still in the early stage of development, showing a booming trend. By the end of 2023, China has planned nearly 400 renewable energy hydrogen projects, and the application of hydrogen energy has been gradually extended from transport and industry to multiple scenarios such as electricity and construction. However, taking into account factors such as the level of technology, industrial foundation, and realistic demands, the business model for hydrogen energy industry development has not yet been formed, and the development of hydrogen energy industry at this stage still relies on national and local policy support. This paper discusses the comprehensive analysis of the hydrogen energy industry development potential score in the three autonomous regions of China, considering about the policy basis, economic level, technical basis and consumption scene.
