Soil salinization has seriously restricted the development of agriculture. In this study, Plantago asiatica was used as test material to explore the effects of spraying 100 mg/L nano zinc oxide (ZnO NPs) on the physiology of P. asiatica under NaCl stress. The concentration of 100 mg/L ZnO NPs decreased the biomass, photosynthetic pigment content, and POD activity of P. asiatica compared to the control, while increased its CAT and SOD activities. ZnO NPs treatment increased the photosynthetic pigment content and antioxidant enzyme activity of P. asiatica under NaCl stress. Therefore, ZnO NPs can alleviate the stress of NaCl by improving the resistant capability of P. asiatica.
