This paper presents an adaptive non-singular terminal sliding mode control (ANTSM) approach for precision velocity tracking of electrical motor drive. This method is capable to deliver chattering-free finite-time velocity control at reasonable computational cost in comparison to higher order terminal sliding mode scheme. The numerical simulation validates the merits of the proposed ANTSM approach.
