Research on the Sustainable Development Path and Evaluation of Park City Oriented to SDGs
China National Institute of Standardization, Beijing 100191, China
In the face of the urgent need to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) globally, this study focuses on park city construction in China. Firstly, it elaborates on the research background, emphasizing the significance of cities in SDG implementation and the role of park city construction as an innovative practice. The study is based on standardization providing technical support, the “Indicator Library for Cities’ Sustainable Development ((ILCSD)” as a practical tool, and the knowledge graph for intelligent decision-making. Through a scientific research technical route, including policy review, connotation analysis, indicator optimization, characteristic supplementation, data verification, and maturity stage division, it constructs an evaluation indicator system for park city sustainability. The system is closely related to multiple SDGs such as poverty reduction, hunger elimination, health promotion, and ecological protection. Empirical analysis in Beijing and Chengdu shows that Beijing excels in ecological space and green transportation, while Chengdu performs well in ecological value transformation and emerging economy. Finally, suggestions are put forward from cities' planning, policy guarantee, and indicator application aspects to promote park city construction and SDGs implementation, providing scientific evaluation and practical guidance for Chinese cities and contributing to global sustainable development.
