The category of ecosystem is an integral part of the conceptual apparatus of all modern science and is considered multidisciplinary. In the modern world there are a huge number of threats, including biological ones, which cause irreparable damage to nature, ecology and destructively affect the state of humans, flora and fauna. Of course, the development of biotechnology carries risks for ecosystems, but no less danger lies in such a process as foreign trade between states. Cross-border movement of goods, such as live animals, plants, goods of plant origin, with violation of biological measures significantly disrupts the “biological health” of ecosystems. The analysis of the transboundary introduction of various types of “bioagents” and the consequences of this for the environment is presented. The authors propose some effective approaches to the development of a regulatory system that ensures the protection of ecosystems from transboundary penetration of biologically hazardous objects, which is defined as the “architectonics of transboundary biosafety”.
