In biotechnology, bioremediation is the study of using live entities, including microorganisms, to remove toxins and contaminants from other surrounds and water. The experimental sought to evaluated microalgae’s ability to eliminate cadmium. The green algal species Scenedesmus quadricauda (Turpin) Brébisson was exposure to different Cd concentrations 0.05, 0.25, 0.5 mg/L. Investigated biochemical and physiological characteristics and antioxidant enzymes. Magnitude that 0.14 on the 8th day at quantity (0.05) mg/l during 15th day, the low value of growth rate (k) at (0.25) mg/l was 0. 06 during 15th day. The results showed a strong influence of varying cadmium degradation by S. quadricauda: The first day’s magnitude that 1.10 (mg/g) 0.05 mg/l, while the highest magnitude was 20.14 (mg/g) on the 15th with 0.5 mg/l. On the fifteenth day, that higher amount of chlorophyll-a was 16.72 (μg/ml) in 0.05 mg/l, while on the first day, it was 0.38 (μg/ml) in 0.25 mg/l. The maximum ROS magnitude was 0.049 on 15th day with 0.05 mg/l Cd, but minimum was 0.013 on 8th day with 0.5 mg/l. On the eighth day, the maximum magnitude the carbohydrate was 26.38 (μm/ml) with 0.25 mg/l. while the min magnitude 5.371(μm/ml) with 0.05mg/l during 15th day.
