The aim of this paper is a chronological analysis of the development of prefabricated panel technology in Ukraine, which emerged in response to the urgent post-war need for affordable housing and continues to play a significant role in the country's housing policy today. The discussion of the different milestones and time periods identifies not only the historical, social or political context, but also their influence on the development of design and technological solutions, up to a reflection on current global trends aimed at sustainability or the digitalization of the construction industry
