Amid rapid technological advancement, waste management remains a persistent challenge in Indonesia, particularly in urban and rural areas with high waste generation and limited management capacity. This study analyzes public sentiment toward government waste management policies through a qualitative case study based on secondary data from 191 online news articles and 30 journals, processed with NVivo 12+ and VOSviewer. Findings indicate that 77.78% of the public sentiment is positive, yet inadequate infrastructure, low participation, and weak regulatory enforcement hinder effective implementation. Bibliometric analysis further shows that social dimensions, such as public perception, are rarely explored in prior research. This research applies sentiment analysis to uncover public perspectives on waste governance, highlighting overlooked social dimensions and offering a novel approach to understanding policy reception.
