Directional flow of clean air plays an important role in an airborne infection isolation room (AIIR). The deflected wall-jet ventilation uses deflectors to change the direction of airflow to achieve an orderly flow of clean air, which is considered as an effective form of airflow distribution. This paper studies the structure of the deflected wall-jet ventilation supply air jet through experiments and numerical calculations, and analyses the effects of the inclination angle and the width of the deflector, and the distance between the deflector and the air slot on the AIIR flow field. The results show that the inclination angle of the deflector as 0° − 45°, the distance between the deflector and the air slot as 0.8 m − 1.2 m can supply clean air for the medical staff in standing gestures.
